Dragon's Den

22/3/2017

All groups have been hard at work planning their ideas for the enterprise fair and working on their 'pitches' to persuade the dragon (Mr Reynolds) to lend them money to buy the raw materials for their project.
Our first group entered the 'Dragon's Den' yesterday afternoon and came away smiling and holding the cash they needed.

More groups are visiting the dragon today....
Will they be successful?

This week class 12 started their enterprise project. We have worked together in groups to discover what enterprise is and what skills we will need to be successful.
This afternoon we worked together in our groups to come up with ideas fof the enterprise fair. We also started thinking about what we will need to buy to create our product.

Our Solar System

Our science topic at the moment is 'Earth and Space'.
Today we found out about our solar system, the relative sizes of the planets and how far they are away from the sun. We used different fruit and held them at distances measured to scale. They spread all the way across the playground and Earth was the size of a cherry tomato!
Next we carried out an activity to find out all sorts of information about the planets, including their size, day length, and temperature.
