Another gorgeous, sunny day. After a quick visit to Lindisfarne we returned to Bamburgh for lunch and birthday cake to celebrate Tabitha's birthday. In the afternoon we visited the Grace Darling museum and church in Bamburgh. Then we went to the RNLI lifeboat station in Seahouses where we asked lots of questions and presented a cheque for the money we raised from our enterprise fair. And finally we enjoyed an ice cream!
Beautiful weather today for the second day of our residential. We spent the morning in Seahouses carrying out questionnaires, surveying the town, sketching by the harbour and doing iPad art. This afternoon we had a lovely boat trip to the Farne Islands in the sunshine. Finally, we spent the evening create sculptures on the beach. Some pics from the first day of our residential trip. We started off having lunch by Bamburgh castle. Then we walked along the beach from Bamburgh to Seahouses and had time to enjoy playing in the sand. This evening we went back to the beach for games and finally songs around the campfire. This morning Class 12 enjoyed a visit to Artworks in Halifax. We had a look round the fantastic Quentin Blake pictures in the gallery. Then we made our own glasses to use to spot the 9 cockatoos hiding in the gallery. Next we worked in small groups to create a tableau of one of the pictures. Finally we created our own version of one of the pictures we particularly liked. |
