Plantathon

7/7/2017

Yesterday was the Old Earth Plantathon. Every child in school planted up a trough with a selection of vegetables to take home to nurture. Year 5 assisted with some other year groups as well planting their own trough.
A special thank you to Suma and all the volunteers for helping to make it happen.

I love vegetables and I'm glad I can now get them fresh from my garden! I also enjoyed helping out by giving out radishes and broad beans to the other children.

The veg boxes look great.
Well done to the gardening club for all their hard work.
It looks like you all had lits of fun making up your own veg boxes.
They look really good but they didbget very heavy carrying them home from school.
Looking forward to seeing what crops we get from our boxes.

I really enjoyed the plantathon and all the preparation for it. My window box is growing well already, I had to stop my brother pulling out my spring onions though, he thought they were bits of grass that had got in there by accident!

We've just eaten the huge radish!
