We loved our trip to Jurassic Kingdom. We saw lots of dinosaurs that we had learned about In our topic. We also got to dig for dinosaur bones in the sandpit.

We did an assembly all about Diwali the celebration of light! We did really well remembering our words and singing our song. Thank you to all of you who came and watched the assembly we hope you enjoyed it!
We made some Diwali inspired food, during design technology in class. We all enjoyed taking part with the measuring, mixing and smelling of all the different ingredients. Some of us loved the coconut squares while others thought it was too sweet. We also made fruit lassi which some of us enjoyed while others thought it was too sour! We wrote out the recipe and method in our books and also did an evaluation to see how we could make the coconut squares less sweet and the fruit lass less sour. This is our Story Mountain this helps us when we are writing stories. We have learnt what each part of the story is and when tto use it. We are putting this in practise as we rewrite our own version of Little Red Riding Hood.
We made these dinosaur pictures by using paints to create our background and then we used some dinosaur stencils and cut them out on black card so our dinosaurs stood out. We think they look effective! We did some research for our dinosaur topic about the T-Rex and other dinosaurs and then we all wrote our own sentence on this big cut out T-Rex.
