Amazing homework from Sophie this week. This is neat and thorough. Sophie also accessed our recommended websites to further enhance her learning. You have certainly earned our Star of the Week! Miss Booth gave us a set of instructions that were all muddled up, our job was to cut them out and stick them in the correct order. When we had finished we were told to collect the things we needed to make a poppy. Many of us said" But how do we do it?" Our teacher refused to help, Jaden said "But you're our teacher, you're supposed to help." Miss Booth explained that the instructions told us how to complete each step to make a poppy. Some of us had a little help reading some hard words but we all managed to make a poppy. We were so proud. I'm sure you'll agree they look lovely around our whiteboard. They will remind us to remember and thank the brave soldiers who fought for us in the war. Early one morning, Miss Booth brought in a letter addressed to Class 5. We were so excited, it was from Miss Dyke's class at the Priory Scool. We didn't know Miss Dyke and Miss Booth had arranged for us to be pen pals. We were given a letter to read. It was so exciting and interesting. We discussed in pairs, our replies. As part of our indendent writing we each wrote a letter in reply. We used our very special Class 5 writing paper. Skye got 'Star of the Week' for her super letter writing, using small letters, that all sat on the lines. We then put our letters into a big envelope and posted it. We can't wait to hear back from Miss Dyke's class, our new friends from the South. |
