Today we retold the story of Rama and Sita. We made video recordings retelling the story. This helped us to remember each part of the story when recording our work in writing later on in the day.

We have had such a fun afternoon creating dinosaur habitats.
Last week we designed our scene and thought about what we would need to include to make sure our dinosaur would survive. Thank you Mums, Dads and family members for all the boxes donated to help us carry out this fun learning activity! Does each habitat have everything a dinosaur would need to survive? Can you name the five things that are essential for survival? What an amazing day we have had! The dinosaurs were fantastic and so realistic! We had a wonderful time and learned lots of new facts about dinosaurs! What was your favourite part of the day? How did you feel when the first dinosaur gave us a shock? Well done Class 6 for leading the school in our Harvest Festival celebrations this week. Fantastic songs, acting and voices! You did yourselves proud! Here is the video we made about Harvest around the world. Our Maths group enjoyed ordering 2 digit numbers in different ways this week. We visited Education City using the Chromebooks to play some fun ordering games. Today we asked everybody in the class to think of their favourite dinosaur. We made a tally chart and then put this information into a bar chart. We found out:
Which was the most popular. Which were the least popular. How many more children liked t rex than brachiosaurus. Can you remember the answers to these questions? Can you think of some more questions to ask about the information in this chart? This week Mrs Gordon's Maths group have been showing off their new learning. They have used their knowledge of place value to order 2 digit numbers in many ways!
Show off at home and show someone how to make a part whole model from any 2 digit number. Can you partition it in many ways? Can you tell what we are? |
