Smile, we are outstanding again!

In February 2016 Ofsted rated our school ‘outstanding’ in all areas. In December 2022 inspectors visited our school again and stated that it continued to be ‘outstanding’.

Old Earth Primary School is a place where pupils are successful and happy. All pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), access an outstanding and ambitious curriculum.

Don’t just take the inspectors’ word for it. Here’s what parents of the Year 6 class who left our school in summer 2021 said, as they reflected on their children’s journey right through Old Earth Primary School.

  • “My daughter has loved every minute at Old Earth. It is one big family and she has always felt valued.

A love for learning has been fostered throughout her Old Earth journey which I am sure will continue through the rest of her life. She's had a wonderful time and has many memories to treasure at this fantastic primary school.”

  • “It's a great school! The overall motto of the school is "Smile, it's the law ". Learning is not limited to the classroom, there is so much going on at Old Earth.”

  • “Staff go above and beyond to make sure the children are happy.

For example, after the disruption and disappointments due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Year 6 trips were rearranged and everyone had a brilliant time. Precious memories! So grateful for this as the Year 6 end of term wouldn't have been the same experience otherwise.”

  • “Our daughter has thrived at this school. She has grown so much and is happy, confident, resilient, helpful, respectful and willing to try virtually any challenge that comes her way. The school and staff have played a huge part in this.

She has smiled her way through school from the first day in Nursery to her last day in Year 6.”
