Welcome to our School Nursery

Our School Nursery is a great first step at Old Earth Primary School. It is led by an experienced nursery teacher and nursery nurse and also supported by full time nursery assistant. Our children start their School Nursery education in the September following their 3rd birthday.

As a team, we believe from the moment your child enters the EYFS at Old Earth they are exposed to invigorating and exciting learning environments and experiences. We strive to provide your child with secure foundations, so that they continue to enjoy lifelong learning!

What we offer

Children attend our school nursery on fully funded places for 15 hours per week, in one of two nursery classes. Our admissions take place in the September and the children stay in the setting until the following July, before starting in Reception.

With links with the main school, it’s a great introduction to primary school. However, please note that a place at our school nursery does not guarantee a place at Old Earth Primary School - see our admissions policy for more information.

Our children attend on a part time basis, accessing the 15 hours of Government Universal Funding per week, attending either our Nursery Class A or Class B. Children whose families require more than 15 hours per week, either paid for or those who are entitled to 30 hours funding, can combine sessions at the school nursery and Little Earth Nursery.

Funding

All children are entitled to 15 hours of Government Universal Funding per week. Some families are eligible for 30 hours - known as Extended Entitlement.

Monday and Tuesday from 8.50am-3.10pm, Wednesday mornings from 8.50am to 11.50am Wednesday afternoons from 12.10pm-3.10pm, Thursday and Friday from 8.50am to 3.10pm

Little Earth

If you need more than 15 hours per week, or more flexibility in sessions, try our on site private day nursery, Little Earth.

Learning in the Early Years

From the moment children enter the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at Old Earth they are exposed to invigorating and exciting learning environments and experiences, whether they are 2, 3, 4 or 5 years old.
